After a long career in several well established practices Dr. Rebeca Scott opened her how private clinic over ten years ago.
She earned her veterinary degree at Washington State University in 1985. She first started her career as a small animal practitioner in Tacoma, Washington before moving to Portland in 1986.
She established the Overlook Veterinary Hospital in 1997 in the North Portland area. She enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine and has particular interests in senior animal health, renal disease, and thyroid disease.
She was schooled by Dean Leo Bustad , whom founded the Delta Society , and did a great deal of work with the late Dean Bustad in establishing a People-Pet Partnership Program in Pullman, Washington. The value of the human-animal bond has always been an inspiration to Dr. Scott and she has also worked with local charities to help feral and stray pets in need of medical assistance.
Dr. Scott is a member of the Portland Veterinary Medical Association, Oregon Veterinary Medical Association, and the American Veterinary Medical Association.
In her spare time, Dr, Scott enjoys playing with her cats, gardening, walking, and biking. And over the past few years has become active member in livening up the neighborhood atmosphere initiating the yearly Overlook Doggie Costume Contest. One of the very fun and social events that help bring the north Portland Neighbors together.
